Garfield Elementary has figured out one of the easiest recipes for a guarranteed good time. Me, my guys, music and dancing equals a good night! The Mother and Son dance is a favorite of mine every year, and this one was no exception!
Drew and I thought it was going to be just us this year, but just as we were pulling out of the driveway Garrett decided to join us.
I have loved watching the boys personalities become more defined as they get a little older. Both of these guys surprised me with their dance moves! I was seriously cracking up as Drew and some buddies climbed up on top of the bleachers at the front of the stage while Dancing Queen blared through the speakers.
Garrett can wiggle his hips like nobody's business, and even has fun with a few throw back moves like the sprinkler.
Both of the boys were regularly in the center of a large circle just showcasing thier skills. While so many of the boys were running all over the gym, my guys brought their friends over to where I was and actually wanted to dance with me. I LOVED it! Seriously, who can complain about an opportunity to get your groove thang on with two of the cutest boys around? Not this dancing queen!
The last two weeks have been full. Full of love, full of laughter, full of peace and full of renewal. My heart is whole. We have had lots of family that has come and gone, and it is always amazing to me just how strong family ties can be. I love my family tree. The natural branches as well as those that we have grafted in. I spent Thanksgiving at my parents, in a house full of children
full of family
full of wrestling
full of people playing with their toys
full of food
and full of naps.
We filled my car with women and shopping bags at the end of the day.
I went to bed with heart full of gratitude for the abundance which is mine.
As if our trip to Aruba wasn't enough, the week we got home we played like we were on vacation still! I had the Activity Girls Daddy Daughter night on Wednesday, Saturday I had the Warrior Dash and our Halloween parties, and on all the days in beetween we played with the Poulsens who came to visit us! We met up at Cheesecake Factory with all the girls to celebrate Talli's birthday.
We watched the kids last fall sporting events together...
We went out to eat and played like a bunch of kids at Boomers!
For the record, I totally took out Aaron on the cars!
We met for lunches at Sequoia Deli, and dinner at Doghouse Grill
We partied at the McCauley's and played games at the Madsen's
We sent the boys off to golf...
When your time is limited, you just gotta cram it all in, and let the good times roll!
I am mom to 3 tough guys and one tiny princess. I am the wife of Prince Charming. I am slave to my laundry, dishes and dirty floors. I am a short term visitor to my bed, devout member of the gym, and a regular to the late night scene at my office computer. I am dedicated in my faith, loyal to my family, devoted as a friend. I am a rock star in my car. I never, ever have nothing to do. I am the boss of the whole wide world, just ask my dad!
