Christmas Eve EVE...A Tradition of Our Own

On the EVE of Christmas Eve you will always find the Hurd family gathered

We always have as many of the extended family members as can make it come down for the night

We always keep up the tradition of dinner consisting of just finger foods and yummy desserts. This is a tradition from when my mom was growing up
We always take in the neighborhood lights while riding in our favorite "two horse open sleigh" and singing Christmas carols

Then we settle in for the reading of the story of Christ's birth. Each year it is done a little differently depending on the ages of the kids involved, but we always do it.

This year I am going to make a shutterfly book using the quotes from the Bible and pictures of our kids. I promise to share when its done. I always do...

And as usual when the night ended we were all exhausted, but really he doesn't always fall asleep on the counters!
